    Responsibilities

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare month end journal entries – accruals, expenses, fixed assets, cash
    • Complete monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
    • Prepare daily cash reports and complete monthly cash reconciliations
    • Download transactions details from banks, merchant services and credit card companies and use data to prepare upload files to create accounts payable invoices.
    • Perform financial analysis and special projects as needed
    • Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and procedures
    • Assist with proper archiving of accounting files
    • Assist finance team with outside audits by the U.S. Government and independent CPA’s
    • Maintain accounting controls by adhering to policies and procedures and complying with federal, state, and local statutory requirements
    • Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing required tasks as needed

    Qualifications:

    •     Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with 5-7 years of experience in an accounting role
    •     Must be able to analyze and troubleshoot accounting issues
    •     Must have the ability to communicate effectively
    •     Dependable in attendance at work and must be a self starter
    •     Experience with MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills

    Preferred:

    • Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos data mining
