    Position Summary
    The Supply Chain Manager has responsibility to plan, manage and coordinate activities related to the sourcing and procurement of materials, including planning, procurement, warehousing and logistics. The Supply Chain Manager must ensure that materials are available when needed to meet changing levels of demand for the Company’s products. The position will provide leadership for QinetiQ North America’s supply chain operations reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.


    Job Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    • Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics.
    • Implement supply chain that supports business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
    • Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas such as sales, marketing, finance, production and quality assurance.
    • Manage supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans to ensure availability of materials to meet production schedule.
    • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
    • Monitor forecasts to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
    • Ensure the stock cycle counting and physical inventory activities are performed according to guidelines, procedures, F&A planning and statutory closing calendar.
    • Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance to identify and qualify new suppliers.
    • Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste and optimize customer service.
    • Work closely with Compliance group on Export /Import shipments prior to shipping or receiving product.
    • Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
    • Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.


    • Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals.


    • 10+ years relevant experience
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of end to end supply chain management including MRP, DRP, ERP, forecasting, inventory management
    • Experience in working with ERP systems
    • Bachelor's degree required, preferred within Supply Chain, Business Management or related field.
    • Demonstrated successful progression of leadership roles and responsibilities
    • Excellent and proactive communication skills
    • Cultivate a broad network of relationships with key internal and external constituents
    • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects and locations simultaneously and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, individual and team-oriented work environment
    • Demonstrated leadership qualities, able to engage and influence team and external partners
    • Strong ability to create management reporting to detail current status and future plans
    • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines
    • Lean and Six Sigma exposure
    • Experience in working in a fast-paced ISO regulated environment
    • Extensive Import Export of regulated products ( ITAR)
    • Military or related industry experience
    • Proven Project Management Experience
