    Responsibilities

    The Human Resources Summer Hire is responsible for supporting the HR organization. Reporting to the Sr. Human Resources Manager, you’ll work within a small HR team to support various HR functions. As a part time employee, you will work approximately 30-35 hours per week.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
    • Have prior experience in office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
    • Assist the HR Generalist with conducting new employee orientation. Be the first point of contact on Day 1. Work with colleagues in HR to roll out and make changes as appropriate.
    • Enter changes into our HR System (Costpoint) and assist with filing and HR Administrative duties.
    • Run reports in our HR System if necessary.
    • Assist the HR team with HR Projects
    • Support our wellness program. Provide ideas for fun wellness programs and events.
    • Support our intern program. Set up and administer events for interns and co-ops.
    • Coordinate the set-up of conference room for meetings.
    • Arrange on-site and off-site employee events such as ice cream truck visit, summer outing, holiday luncheon, service award events, team breakfasts, wellness events, etc.
    • Partner with HR on projects related to HR, Wellness, Training, Benefits, etc.
    • As needed, represent us at off-site job fairs (approximately 1-3 per year).

    What are the requirements to be considered?

    • 2+ years of administrative experience. Human Resources experience is highly preferred.
    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors dregree program in a similar discipline.
    • Desire and availability to have a part-time schedule of approximately 30-35 hours per week.
    • Knowledge of general HR practices including employee benefits, FLSA and HR systems. Knowledge of talent acquisition systems is a strong plus.
    • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with superior organization and communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and provide excellent customer service to internal customers.
    • Proficiency and comfort working in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • An aptitude for building a culture of trust, integrity, and performance.
