    Responsibilities

    Job description:

    Mission Assurance Manager - This position serves as the overall Mission Assurance lead for the Maritime and Land Systems Business Areas at QinetiQ North America. Reporting to the Director of Mission Assurance, the Manager will be responsible for a direct report team that assures product quality and statutory and regulatory requirements compliance for all programs. It focuses on representing the customers’ best interests, and developing solutions to ensure that the company meets customer/end user requirements and expectations. You will help develop strategies and goals for the organization that include the identification of continuous improvement opportunities that drive business results. The role requires flexibility and adaptability when interfacing with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.

    Required experience:

    • BS degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality, Engineering and/or Science experience in a leadership role
    • Experience with preparing and presenting senior management level briefings and making persuasive arguments to senior leadership on Mission Assurance issues and needs
    • Ability to lead teams, and develop effective relationships across functional groups in a matrix organization
    • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment with emphasis on Quality planning, Quality Management System (QMS), supplier management and, requirements flowdown
    • Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action and application of Quality fundamentals
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Must be a self-starter, critical thinking and detail oriented leader

    Desired experience:

    • MS Degree in engineering/business management or science related field
    • In-depth knowledge of Mission Assurance and related disciplines – reliability, configuration management, EH&S, systems, software, hardware, manufacturing, production
    • Experience facilitating cross functional solutions to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Ability to influence others to achieve company goals and meet annual operating plan (AOP)
    • Experience with U.S. Navy and Army customers and knowledge of DoD requirements
    • Recent experience working in an AS9100:2016 and/or ISO 9001:2015 environment
    • Demonstrated successes utilizing broad-based technical and business fundamental skills
    • Possess a strategic vision and the ability to develop and execute transformational change
    • Ability to prioritize work load in a multi-tasking, resource constrained work environment
    • Provide strong business performance leadership by defining responsibilities, motivating employees, and demonstrating effective problem solving
    • Knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
    • Experience working with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
