    Position Summary:

    QinetiQ North America is currently recruiting a Software Engineering Co-op. This individual will assist in the development and deployment of unmanned ground vehicle and controller technologies.  The Software Engineering Co-op will have an opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team (software, electrical, and mechanical engineering) to develop an overall feel for system development. The Software Engineer Co-op should have an interest in various aspects of robotics platform research and development. 



    The ideal candidate will have development skills and project experience in C/C++ as well as some hands-on experience interfacing with electronic controls including sensors and motors.  Experience in either .NET C# or Linux using the GCC/G++ toolchain is required. Familiarity with computer vision, artificial intelligence, and robotics system design is a plus as is exposure to Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS).  The student is expected to be enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an Electrical Engineering program with software emphasis.  Completion of at least one prior co-op or relevant work experience is preferred.
