    QinetiQ North America, Inc. (https://www.qinetiq-na.com/) is a world leader in defense technology and ground robotics development for both military and commercial robotic platforms and controllers.  Working in the robotics division, the Electrical Hardware Engineering Co-Op will assist the engineering team in designing, prototyping, and testing next-generation robotic systems.  The candidate will be given the opportunity to learn about robotic control systems, PCB design, power electronics, motor controllers, real-time video/vision systems, RF communications, microcontroller design, firmware/software integration, and electro-mechanical systems design.  This position requires a motivated, hands-on individual whom is interested in greatly improving upon their technical and professional skillsets as an Electrical Engineer.  QinetiQ North America is a fast paced, team oriented company that is willing to give talented individuals ample opportunities to develop as quickly as they are willing to learn.  The candidate must be enrolled in or be a graduate of an Electrical and/or Computer Engineering bachelor’s degree program.

    • Troubleshooting and Debugging


    Example products the candidate could work on:


    Recommended Experience:

    • Electronic Test Equipment (multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, etc.)
    • Soldering Experience, preferably surface mount soldering
    • Cable/Harness Assembly
    • Schematic Capture
    • Familiarity with basic hand tools
    • Technical Documentation
    • Working knowledge of microcontrollers
