    Job purpose:

    The primary function of this position will be to support the Program Office to translate project deliverable requirements into procurement & production actions based on the latest delivery dates in a Program’s Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). This person will plan, monitor, expedite and support material availability and end item delivery throughout the procurement, manufacturing and test phases. They will interface with Engineering to create and maintain accurate part masters and product structures within the MRP system. This person will also ensure that the required procurement information is appropriately routed for review and approved.  


    Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

    1. Plans and schedules complex Bill Of Materials (BOMs) into the company MRP system (Visual)
    2. Reviews and updates  data in MRP to ensure data integrity (Revs, Quality Clauses, etc)
    3. Interfaces with Purchasing to create RFQ packages for review in the company MRP system
    4. Interfaces with CM and Engineering to process Engineering Changes in the MRP system
    5. Responsible for generating status reports for procurement metrics at program and organizational levels.  This included reporting the weekly end item deliverable “Can Build”, identifying the root causes of delay and driving corrective action to overcome delays.  This may require escalation to company management as needed.
    6. Interfaces with CM to load all approved purchasing packages from the MRP system into the CM system.
    7. Create and maintain inventory locations in the MRP system
    8. Create and maintain sales orders and internal work orders in the MRP system as necessary
    9. MRB attendance/approvals to ensure purchasing and building to schedule



    1. 4-year degree preferred, or equivalent experience in production planning or scheduling
    2. 2+ Years working with MRP systems (experience with Visual a plus)
    3. Must have strong team skills, a willingness to find ways around issues and strong analytical skills. 
    4. Must be able to communicate effectively across all corporate levels in both verbal and written forms. 
    5. Must be proficient in MS Office with advanced knowledge in Excel.
