    The candidate for the Sr. Business Systems Analyst position will assist in formulating and defining the organizations business system platforms’ scope and objectives by evaluating user needs and understanding  QNA’s requirements.  These systems will include those used for financial accounting, resource and business planning, as well as time and expense.  The candidate will be responsible for   developing or modifying procedures to solve complex problems within these information systems. Must be able to analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate into proper system requirement specifications.  This is an internal client-focused role and involves configuring systems to those clients’ needs.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
    • Analyze requirements; construct workflow charts and diagrams; study system capabilities; write specifications.
    • Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
    • Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
    • Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
    • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
    • Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
    • Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
    • Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
    • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelors’ degree plus 5-7 years related experience.
    • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning, and report writing
    • Robust documentation skills and strong interpersonal skills required
    • Familiary with Costpoint, Cognos and SQL reporting a plus.
