    Under the direction of the Director, Export & Trade Compliance, this position will provide support in licensing, transactional review, process implementation, training, recordkeeping, and daily operations.


    • Review and approve international orders for export (screening, embargoes, classification, license determination, license lead time, end user statements)
    • Prepare and process licenses and agreements for on time delivery
    • Manage export authorizations, providing reports and notifications to the U.S. government, as necessary
    • Review shipment paperwork for compliance with EAR, ITAR, and FTR
    • Approve foreign visits and foreign travel requests
    • Approve the use of licenses, exemptions and exceptions for shipments and information exports, including deemed exports
    • Track and ensure return of goods exported against temporary licenses and carnets
    • Deliver export compliance training
    • Perform denied party screening and review “hits”
    • Assist in the conduct of compliance audits
    • Assist in the development of import / export compliance processes
    • Assist in the research and interpretation of international trade regulations
    • Prepare other import/export documentation, as required
    • Utilize U.S. government programs such as SNAP-R, ACE (AES), D-Trade
    • Provide classification and maintain an organizational database for accurate item classification under EAR, ITAR, HTS, and Schedule B
    • Assist in the maintenance of a tracking, storage, and retrieval system for documentation
    • Ensure all international trade compliance records are maintained, as required

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field (technical degree preferred) plus 5 years’ experience;  or 9 years’ experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree 
    • Experience in a U.S. DoD contractor environment, engineering and manufacturing environment preferred
    • Experience drafting and submitting export licenses and agreements, including the use of U.S. Government systems D-Trade and SNAP-R
    • Experience reviewing and approving import/export shipping paperwork, compliance with the FTR, and use of U.S. Government ACE (AES) system for submission and reporting
    • Experience interpreting and providing guidance on ITAR and EAR regulations for the licensing of commodities, technologies and defense services, including the use of exemptions and exceptions
    • Experience classifying goods and technology for export, using ITAR, EAR, and the HTS or Schedule B
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
    • Customer service orientation, with excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to prioritize multiple competing projects, assuring completion of all tasks, with limited supervision
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
    • Experience with OCR EASE preferred
    • US citizen or permanent resident
    • Willingness to continue to learn, grow and take on stretch assignments
