    Work in a fast-paced environment, as part of an engineering team to deliver the next generation ground robotic systems for the U.S. Military.  The software test engineer will be responsible for leading all phases of software testing which includes, requirements review, software test plan and procedure development, test execution (automated and manual), defect reporting and generating formal test reports.  Candidate will also be responsible for transitioning robotic (vehicle and controller) software artifacts from engineering development to production.  Other activities include participating in software requirements reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews, and software acceptance reviews.  Participate in field data collection and experimentation, analysis, and reporting.


    Required Qualifications

    • B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 2-5 years’ experience or
    • MS in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Equivalent plus 1-2 years’ experience
    • Strong understanding of the Software Development life cycle
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Hands-on manual testing, smoke testing, black-box, and regression testing
    • Flexible, self-starter, desire to solve any problem
    • U.S. citizenship

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience developing software test plans for embedded devices
    • Experience developing embedded applications for Micro Controllers
    • Experience with Linux shell scripting
    • Experience with requirements tracing and test case management tools such as DOORS
    • Network protocols such as UDP, CAN, and RS232
    • Working knowledge of C#
    • Experience working with Distributed Architectures
    • Experience with field testing robotic systems
