Responsibilities

Develops, analyzes, maintains, and administers build tools that support software product release in both Windows and Linux environments.  Writes and maintains Software Requirements, Software Test Descriptions, and Software Test Reports.  Works with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and then manages the build and testing process. Insures all source code and test tools are under configuration management.  Writes and maintains release notes.  Develops consistent and repeatable build process to support development, system integration, and nightly builds. Works with development engineers to track and correct build errors.

 

Duties:

  • Maintain and administer Change/Configuration/Release management and build tools for Windows and Linux environments
  • Manage the formal software release process
  • Write and maintain Software Requirements, Software Test Descriptions, and Software Test Reports
  • Enforce software release process policies and procedures by running process adherence checks
  • Write and maintain release notes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure related issues
  • Develop consistent and repeatable build process to support development, system integration, and nightly builds

Qualifications:

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in configuration management with software release and builds in a rapid development environment
  • Must have 3+ years of experience with configuration management tools such as TeamForge or Perforce
  • Must have experience with make, cmake, and gcc
  • Must have experience in maintaining software bug and feature tracking systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in engineering or computer science
