Responsibilities

The Customer Service Specialist role is a critical interface between production, shipping/receiving, sales, export compliance and our customers. Under general supervision, the candidate will perform a variety of tasks that will require s/he to rely on experience, creativity, and solid judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Must be able to multi-task, effectively prioritize work, and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment. This position will require the ability to periodically lift and position <40 pound pieces of equipment unaided. The position is a hands on position with direct contact with QinetiQ-NA products being processed through our maintenance and repair processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create price quotations and communicate to customer as required
  • Assist internal/external customers with product selection and pricing
  • Support Program Manager in custom quote generation as required
  • Collect and process product information in internal and customer databases for our maintenance and repair processes.
  • Coordinate shipping through various carriers to customers
  • Customer support (answer questions coordinate shipment, gather customer documentation)
  • Management of inventory and shipping requests
  • Monitor deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Directly support production floor shipments as required

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills; willing to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures
  • Ability to efficiently solve problems relating to sales, finance and transportation of goods both domestically and internationally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • Ensure that quality assurance checks are completed and maintained 
  • Experience/interest with electromechanical products is a plus

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience with 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience handling international shipments (coordination with compliance, contracts etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office word processing and/or data entry level (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
