The candidate should be currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Robotics Program. This position requires a motivated, self-starter, with an interest in small robotic platforms. (Demonstrated background with robotics is a plus). Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical system design, prototyping, testing and analysis. Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD), basic machining skills and familiarity with hand tools, basic soldering skills, understanding basic electrical circuits, familiarity with electronic equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes and small microcontrollers is desired but not required. Demonstrated experience with power supplies, motors, and wireless communications is also a plus. One prior co-op experience is preferred but not required.
