Position requires U.S. citizenship pr Permanent Residency
Develops, implements, and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical). Prepares quality control programs and manuals for new and existing business. Prepares and monitor safety programs and manuals for new and existing business units. Ensures compliance with OSHA standards. Ensures division compliance with the Hazardous Waste Management program. Performs quality performance indicator matrices analysis using ISO-9000 to combine capabilities, improve procedures/processes, and enhance quality. Interacting with a variety of departments, conducts training in emergency response and hazardous material handling. Monitors environmental compliance and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies. Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist. The work of the EH&S Engineer who is an Industrial Hygienist involves industrial hygiene, life safety, and ergonomic compliance-related activities. Interacts with others in the administration of the worker’s compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions. Monitors industrial health compliance.
Position can be based out of Waltham, MA or Franklin, MA with frequent travel to both sites.
High degree of knowledge of business administration, military quality practices, commercial and Federal Aviation Administration quality systems such as ISO-9000, and MIL-Q-9858.
In-depth knowledge of industrial safety programs, occupational safety and health administration requirements and Code of Federal Regulations.
In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and be familiar with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) rules and regulations.
Requires a BS/BA Degree or equivalent.
A minimum of seven (7) years total experience in any combination in the following areas; Quality Assurance, ISO-9000, Safety, Environmental Compliance
